Browser Push Setup
Browser push alerts are optional. They can notify you about live perfect-game and no-hit bids even when the dashboard is closed.
iPhone / iPad
On iPhone and iPad, browser push requires the Home Screen app. A normal Safari tab cannot register for push alerts.
- Open perfectgametracker.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- Open Perfect Game Tracker from the Home Screen icon.
- Log in if needed and open Account.
- Tap Enable on this browser.
- When iOS asks, allow notifications.
Tip: add the site to your Home Screen from the Dashboard if you want the app to open on the Dashboard.
To remove push later, remove the browser device from Account. You can also delete the Home Screen icon or change notification permission in iPhone Settings → Notifications.
Android
- Open perfectgametracker.com in Chrome or another push-capable browser.
- Log in and open Account.
- Tap Enable on this browser.
- Allow notifications when prompted.
- Optionally add the site to your Home Screen if your browser offers it.
Desktop / Laptop
- Open the site in a supported browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on macOS.
- Log in and open Account.
- Click Enable on this browser.
- Allow notifications when prompted.
Desktop push is useful for testing or for fans who keep baseball open on a computer, but mobile is usually the better fit for real-time alerts.
Remove or disable browser push
- From your account: Account → Browser Push Alerts → Remove a device, or Clear all browser devices.
- On this browser: use Disable this browser to unsubscribe this browser locally and disable the matching server subscription when possible.
- On iPhone / iPad: deleting the Home Screen icon removes the app shortcut, but you may still want to remove the saved browser device from Account.
- On Android or desktop: browser/site notification settings control permission. Removing the device from Account stops Perfect Game Tracker from sending to that saved subscription.
Troubleshooting
- If iPhone says push is not supported, open the Home Screen app rather than a normal Safari tab.
- If you denied permission earlier, change notification permission in the browser or device settings and try again.
- If browser push is disabled by the site admin, email and Pushover alerts are unchanged.
- You can remove a stale or old browser device later from the Account page.
